Helmer QuickThaw® Plasma Thawing Systems works to substantially reduce thaw times while ensuring the safety of your plasma. The QuickThaw® is convenient to operate, allowing you to load, program, and walk away.
Rapid thawing reduces the amount of plasma that must be thawed in advance. The baskets agitate the units in 36,5°C water for optimal heat transfer and the most rapid thawing.
Independent QuickThaw® baskets in the DH4 of plasma at different times. In addition, the baskets automatically lift plasma bags out of the water when a cycle is complete or upon high alarm activation. For added safety, the optional Cleanbath solution can be used to inhibit bacterial growth.
Both fresh frozen plasma and apheresis plasma bags may be thawed in any unit. With the use of the removable dividers in the DH8 model, oversized units (wider than 153mm) may be thawed.
Disposable overwraps bags protect units during thawing and provide long-term security if a plasma bag breaks. They help prevent contamination of the system and keep the plasma safe. Large opening for easy cleaning of the QuickThaw®’s stainless steel open tank.
